Prosthetics
Three musical prostheses were designed and developed to restore and enhance musical capabilities for amputee musicians. The prostheses utilize AI to analyze and predict musicians' intended actions based on realtime data from electromyography (EMG) and ultrasound sensors. The award winning prostheses were featured in documentaries and concerts worldwide.
The Drumming Arm is an electromyography-driven prosthetic arm designed to restore grip control for amputee drummers. The technology was licensed to Google which gifted the arm to amputee drummer Jason Barnes and featured it in a documentary.
The Skywalker Hand is an ultrasound-driven wearable prosthetic arm that provides amputees with an unprecedented level of dexterous finger control with close to real-time latency. It supports sophisticated daily activities such as playing the piano.
The bionic drumming prosthesis was a musical wearable robotic device that restored the drumming abilities of amputees while providing them new humanly impossible capabilities. The award winning technology was featured in concerts worldwide.
