AI Ethics has been a special curricular focus, emphasizing the importance of human agency, bias, diversity and accessibility. Other areas of interest include data copyright and consent, cultural misuse, public perception and presentation, and environmental impact. GTCMT has been one of the first participants at the collaborative academic-industry AI for Music Initiative. New efforts to involve students in this collaboration are currently undergoing.
