medusai
medusai is a robotic sculpture that responds to and interacts with humans through sound, light, touch, and movement. Inspired by the Greek myth of Medusa, the sculpture features seven robotic arms in the form of snake hairs, installed on top of a human-size metallic face structure. A computer vision tracking system drives the robotic snakes to follow humans, pluck strings, and hit the sculpture surface. The eeriness of AI driven robotic snakes following humans while at the same time invoking artistic interaction through dance and music reflects on both the risks and promises of AI and robotics.
